Sonoscan Office/Laboratory Moves To Fudan University
Shanghai, China — March 15, 2009
By invitation, Sonoscan has relocated its Shanghai headquarters office and its applications laboratory to a new facility associated with Fudan University. The new facility will concentrate on microelectronics and materials applications in space shared with Shanghai FALAB Test Technology Co.
Established in 1973, Sonoscan is the foremost developer and manufacturer of acoustic microscopes and sophisticated acoustic micro imaging systems. Sonoscan’s C-SAM® and FACTS2™ systems have long set the industry standard for speed and accuracy. The company has a long list of patents and innovations.
The new Sonoscan office and laboratory, located in Fudan University Hi-Tech Park, will be headed by Hua Lei and Ginny Ho, both of whom are well known to Sonoscan clients in China. As in the past, they will provide support services and conduct product demonstrations for microscope users in the Shanghai area.
This is a natural setting for Sonoscan, since Fudan University has a very strong presence in the physical sciences. The University’s overall prestige is enhanced by its lineage: it traces its founding to the year 1905, just before the end of the imperial Qing dynasty.
