Sample & Method

One Solid Titanium Bar. Bulk Scan imaging Technique utilized. Distance measurement taken on internal defect.


Voids were detected within the bulk of the titanium bar. The distance measurement between the two white cross-hairs indicates the size of one internal defect to be 323 microns. Scan was taken using parameters capable of 130 micron resolution.
